Arpacay Hostel will really become your second home after visiting it. Very helpful and friendly reception - they are always ready to help you. I like staying there. It's a little bit far from the centre but it was ok for me. Tram station is very near. It was nice to have 3 nights in this hostel. In addition my roommates were also very good people

Accurate desciption on Hostelbookers. Substantial breakfast included. We stayed in a private double room which was really nice, more like a hotel/motel room than a hostel. Shared bathrooms were clean and tidy and worked well. PS, if arriving by train from Germany, check your stops. Your train will probably stop right outside the hostel as its second last stop, which saves you going into the central station then catching the local trains back out again.

Sehr aufmersames Personal, alles weitestgehend sauber, das Frühstück zwar ziemlich Basic aber mit großem Müsli-Buffet (und wer mehr als Käse, Wurst, Butter und Marmelade braucht, kann sich ja was mitbringen), Straßenbahn direkt vor der Haustür, sodass man in 5 Minuten an der U-Bahn, vielen Tramlinien und einem Einkaufszentrum ist, und Internet mit einigen Aussetzern im ganzen Hostel. Alles in allem außerordentlich zufriedenstellend!!

S hostelem Arpacay i s jeho službami jsem byla velmi spokojená. Čisto, klid, příjemné jednání. Vzhledem k výborné ceně s ohledem na místo blízko centra jsem ani neřešila mírné snížení komfortu v podobě sociálního zařízení a sprchy společné na chodbě. Vždy volné a čisté. Parkování u hostelu bylo bezproblémové jek během dne tak i večer. Hodlám služby hostelu i dále využívat.

I LOVED THIS HOSTEL! I seriously can't say enough good things about it. The staff was extremely friendly, and also quite helpful: they gave me good spots to eat and shop, told me which bus line to take to get to the Old City, and so on. And all with smiles :) The rooms themselves were nice; nothing too special, but very warm and inviting nonetheless. They have both lockers in the rooms and a vault behind the front desk, so your valuables are safe. Oh, and each bed has a light attached to the wall beside it, which is great. They've got three computers with internet downstairs, and wireless as well. I've read some reviews on other sites saying that the wifi would go out intermittently, but it was flawless during the three days I was there. They sell beer and snacks downstairs, you can come back any time of the night (lucky for me, as I arrived at 6:30 am one day!). This place has the COOLEST ROOF EVER. I seriously considered not going out my first night, and just hanging out on the roof. I ultimately met some cool French guys and went out with them instead. The location is somewhat detached from the center of the city, but I actually liked that. First off, you don't have to deal with any tourists. Second of all, it has a vibe all its own that I really enjoyed. Third, there's a shopping center nearby, so you can get whatever you need with ease. And lastly, it's RIGHT near public transport to the center of the city; you won't have to walk more than a minute total to get to the center of prague if you use the metro/buses. Oh, also, I accidentally booked for the wrong three days, but they shifted things around and were able to fit me in when I arrived. Basically, stop reading this review and stay at this hostel. If I ever come back to Prague, there's no way in hell I'm staying anywhere other than Arpacay!

Located a bit outside the areas you would want to tour, which is OK because it is quiet and the metro is very close. Overall I would stay here again. I really liked that the dorm which shared a kitchen area with two others. This, along with a separate common area really made the stay great.

It maybe not as central as some travellers might like it but it is actually very well connected via public means and you are in the tourist hot spots in really no time. Walking to the centre is also still an option. But Smichov is actually a less touristy part of the city and gives you a sense of real Prague and not just the Golden City. Best hostel I've ever stayed. It is actually more convenient than to some other hostels that claimed near to the city, as you only take one line straight to the centre (Mustek), and not changing on trams. We were in a 6 bed room on a floor with only 2 other rooms and had a kitchen/small common room on our floor which really nice to have. We were able to get to know the other people on our floor quite well and it was great having a kitchen at our disposal. Rooms were clean, every bed had a shelf and light which are small details but quite nice. Lockers in the room and shelves for your stuff help keep the room tidy and clutter free which is nice. Breakfast was good, coffee, bread, jam, cereal, meat and cheese. I would definitely reccomend this place, it was a great stay!

Lovely staff, we loved our room. Bright walls, sense of community, if you want to get to know other travellers they seemed friendly. Simple but good breakfast, the washroom and toilet were cleaned every day. The location is fine - Smichov is a great place to stay as it's cheaper, less touristy, and there are some fantastic places to go eat on this side of the river. We went to Andel and ate at Lukalu (en route on tram) and if you go to Prague Castle or Hrad?any, the highlight of our trip to Prague was Malý Buddha Restaurant... vv. cheap, atmospheric and delicious!! Transport excellent doesn't take long to get to centre at all. Stay at Arpacay.

I just spend 3 nights at Arpacay with my girlfriend, and have only the best things to say. First of all, you can't beat the price. It cost us smth like 8.11 pounds or 9 euros per night with breakfast, internet, lockers, safe, and luggage room all included! We didn't have to spend a penny more than the price on this website, and honestly guys and girls, this is a real bargain. Secondly, the location was quite good. It's not bang in the center of town, rather, you have to walk 5 minutes to the nearest bus, tram, train and metro station (smichovske nadrazi) and it only takes 10 min to reach the center. This, in my opinion is a good thing, for 2 reasons. First of all, you don't get all the noise of the city centre, whilst at the same time you can reach the centre in 10 minutes. Secondly, because it's not in the tourist area, you can find some really nice REAL Chech bars and restaurants 5 minutes away, which are bars for locals, really cheap, with good food. For instance, near Arpacay you can get a full meal (and we're talking huge plates here) plus a big beer for around 200 Crowns or less (around 8 euros) whereas in the centre 2 espressos and a sandwich cost around 500 crowns! All in all, a fantastic experience, really nice people, ideal location and great price. Would highly recommend to others. Thanks Arpacay!

Uma ponte separa vc de todo o acesso para os outro lugares com metro , eletro trem e onibus... A acomodacao é fantastica e fiz bons amigos. As atendentes sao atenciosas e te explicam sobre tudo. very well organised. these guys have thought about everything; clothes hooks, lockers, safe at reception, huge breakfast, loads of maps and info, and its inexpensive. we could not recommend this place enough. very happy guests.

It's good to go around with the public transport from here. It's very rare for the hostel to prepare breakfast but they did well. It's worth the money.

Delicious breakfast provided. Rooms in good quality. Some of the staff members were nice and helpful. Not bad location.
